ASG Advocates & Legal Consultants were established in Dubai in 1997 by Mr. Yousif Hussein Al-Sahlawi, former Public Prosecutor for the Ministry of Justice since 1988 to 1997 and thereafter for a period of ten years held the position of “Executive Director” of Dubai Customs.

Al Sahlawi Group Advocates & Legal Consultants were established in Dubai in 1997 by Mr. Yousef Hussein Al-Sahlawi, former Public Prosecutor for the Ministry of Justice since 1998 to 1997 and thereafter for a period of ten years held the position of “Executive Director” of Dubai Customs. He has dedicated his legal expertise, experience and himself to establish ASG Advocates & Legal Consultants.
His specialisation includes Litigation & Arbitration along with vast experience in handling all customs related legal issues. He also specialises in sports laws besides being a pioneer in legislating and drafting the constitution of the UAE Football Association and related rules and regulations for handling all legal matters and issues concerned with the sports.
Ms. Shalini Kapila
She has 5 years experience working as a Commercial Finance Manager and further 5 years experience more in the Legal field, encompassing the financial, real estate sectors, courts and governmental departments. Her work involves high profile, complex cases and a mix of legal matters that demand considerable proficiency in dispute management, alternative dispute resolution, corporate matters, business consultancy and contentious regulatory advice. She has worked with top companies as well as many banks on high value LCs, investment portfolios and corporate legal matters, mergers & acquisitions in Dubai and carries strong experience from India in the field of litigation (civil & criminal), dispute resolution (ADR), arbitration, mediation, IPR, banking law and expertise in drafting of agreements, notices, legal instruments and litigation briefs for the Indian courts and Forums including Supreme Court of India.
She graduated from the Faculty of Law CCS University, under Government of India and is member of the Bar Council of India and Delhi. She also holds Masters Degree in Business specialising in Finance and Bachelors of Business from IP University Delhi.
