The conference was attended by banks and corporates H.E. Dr. Ahmed Saif Belhasa, Chairman, ICC-UAE gave the welcome speech. He said that the UAE economy is steadily recovering, namely the tourist, trade, property and many other sectors. He further highlighted that, the UAE banks and financial establishments are steadily recovering and liquidity is steadily flowing again .Global investors have faith and confidence in the UAE market and banking industry. . All this has been achieved due to s untiring will and persistence of the UAE political leadership who have realised the importance of economic and trade sectors for this country and for the whole Gulf Region as such. In the last year conference H.E. Dr. Ahmed Saif Belhasa had promised that this conference would take place annually and now it has been firmly established due to the support of bankers and corporates. Mr. Saeed Obaid Jarwan, Secretary General & Board Member, ICC-UAE said that the agenda has been prepared on current issues notably, internationalization of the Chinese Currency RMB,, Basle III current status and update with specific focus to UAE, role of technology in enhancing trade, swift for corporate etc. He furthered mentioned that ICC-UAE has been active in the region and has signed contracts with its Headquarter for ICC Publications and online trainings. He also announced that ICC-UAE is going to hold a conference on Piracy and Trading Crimes on 23rd January 2013 in Dubai. The speakers were from local and international region having strong skills and expertise. Since thanks goes to Commercial Bank of Dubai, Deutsche Bank AG, Encore Solutions, Misys, State Bank of India, DIFC and National Bank of Fujairah for their sponsorship and dedicated efforts of all those involved in making this event a big success. Mr. Lakshmanan Sankaran, Board Member, ICC-UAE and Chairman of the Conference conducted the proceedings and closed the conference with a vote of thanks. |
