The meeting took place to discuss collaboration between ICC International Court of Arbitration and ICC UAE and put forward the common subjects of interest to the Commission. The meeting also pushed forward the need for ICC UAE members to have more significant participation through ICC HQ in Paris. |

| 06 | GTR MENA 2020 ICC UAE participated as supporting organization at the GTR MENA 2020 held on 17-18th February 2020 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Dubai, UAE. The event is widely recognized as the most established and comprehensive market gathering for the MENA region's trade experts, fintech innovators, bankers, government bodies and corporates of all sizes. For the second day of the 2020 GTR MENA, the event was chaired by Vincent O’Brien, Acting Director, ICC UAE. The second day included a highlight “The Big GTR Quiz: Industry Dialogue and Outreach” which was a joint initiative of the International Chamber of Commerce - United Arab Emirates (ICC UAE) and the International Trade and Forfaiting Association MENA Chapter (ITFA). This dialogue was delivered in a very entertaining manner as a quiz between teams from ICC UAE and ITFA. This innovative approach led by ICC UAE was attended by the largest number of attendees at any GTR MENA session in the history of the event in Dubai and was rated as the top session of this year's 2020 GTR MENA. |

| 07 | ICC-100 Years Anniversary Celebration To commemorate 100 years of excellence, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and ICC UAE, in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized “The Next Century of Global Business” on 26th February 2020 at Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, Dubai, UAE. The event featured local and international speakers and highlighted the global business trends for the next century. ICC Secretary General, John Denton delivered a keynote speech. |

| 08 | Incoterms® 2020 Seminar The final physical membership engagement event before the COVID-19 restrictions of ICC UAE was the Incoterms®2020 Seminar which was held in partnership with Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday, 16th March 2020. This event received very positive feedback for practical advice provided. The seminar was facilitated by Vincent O’Brien, Acting Director of ICC UAE and Executive Committee Member of ICC Banking Commission. The participants were commended for attending this final event as the COVID-19 pandemic advanced but all necessary health precautions were implemented at the highest level of compliance. |

This programme commenced on Monday, 27th April 2020 and will end on Sunday, 27th September 2020 with all successful participants being presented with highly valued ICC UAE certificates. This is a historic innovation at ICC UAE as it is our first internally developed online training program. |

| 25 | Webinar on Mitigating COVID-19 Trade Finance Risk with Asian Development Bank Member ICC UAE hosted a webinar on Mitigating COVID-19 Trade Finance Risk in collaboration with Asian Development Bank. The webinar was attended by 179 delegates representing 26 countries. This webinar was case-study driven and focused on the increased risks unfolding as a direct consequence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The negative consequences of the disruption of the physical supply chain for goods have been significant across the world. The important policy and rulemaking work of ICC members was highlighted at this event. The ADB have expressed their great appreciation for the professional delivery and production of this event by ICC UAE. |
