Employment History

  • Since 1997 : Advocate and Managing Partner of Al-Suwaidi & Company with head office in Dubai and with branches in Abu Dhabi, and Ajman. Al Suwaidi & Company is a full service law firm that has one of the largest and most successful civil and criminal litigation practice in the UAE as recognized by The Legal 500. Al Suwaidi & Company represents national and international clients in all courts of the UAE including the Cassation Court (Supreme Court). Its litigation department of leading advocates are supported by lawyers with different specializations and assisted by excellent paralegal support.
  • 1996–1997 : Legal Advisor, Emirates General Petroleum Corporation ('Emarat'). Emarat is a Federal Government entity in Dubai for marketing and distribution of petroleum products in UAE. Mohammed was responsible for the legal and corporate affairs of the Corporation. He was actively involved in the negotiation and drafting of the Joint Venture Agreement between EMARAT and MOBIL for Dubai Airport, the negotiation and drafting of the Operation Agreement for fueling facility of Dubai Airport, and the negotiation and drafting of agreements related to Emarat’s acquisition of shares in Middle East Lubricants Company LLC. Mohammed has also drafted many construction agreements based on the FIDIC conditions of the contract. He also drafted and reviewed various agreements on gas pipeline, gas transmission, gas purchase, pipeline maintenance agreement, etc.
