This e-chapter brings together extracts from ICC arbitral awards relating to the application and interpretation of Incoterms rules.  Made between 1990 and 2006, the awards illustrate issues arising in relation to the use of commercial terms in international trade, many of which remain relevant today. The e-chapter also includes an article by Emmanuel Jolivet, General Counsel to ICC and the International Court of Arbitration and former Policy Manager for the Commission on Commercial Law & Practice, in which the issues raised by the awards are analysed and discussed.
