Ahmad F. Elayyan is a senior banking executive with 20+ year experience with major international and regional banks in Jordan, UAE and Qatar. He is also registered as an approved Arbitrator at Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Center “Tahkeem”. He served as Head of Operations and Head of O&T with Arab Bank PLC, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Samba Financial Group, Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank, Qatar Islamic Bank and Ajman Bank.
Ahmad F. Elayyan also has a hands on experience in setting up new banking franchises. He has started the following banks from scratch:
- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC)
- Samba Financial Group in, Samba was the Best New Bank in the UAE as awarded by EMEA Finance in 2009
- Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank (JDIB) in Jordan
