FedEx Express is the world's largest express transportation company, providing fast and reliable delivery to more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. FedEx Express – Middle East

FedEx Express established its regional headquarters and gateway facility in Dubai in 1989. The UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait are direct-served markets with other countries in the region served through a network of service providers.

The FedEx Dubai Hub commenced operations in 1998 by acting as a regional hub for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa. This hub serves weekly FedEx. Express flights that connect to and from airports in France, India and Hong Kong. FedEx connects directly to locations in the region using commercial line-haul and trucking routes. We provide round-the-clock connectivity between neighboring countries and FedEx operations worldwide.

Maher Hasbini – Managing Director, MEA Operations

Maher Hasbini has worked for FedEx Express since 1989. He first joined the company at the Memphis Hub facility working in the day sort operations. In 1990, he was promoted to an Industrial Engineer position working at FedEx in Charlotte, North Carolina, then at Memphis, Tennessee followed by Dallas, Texas.

In 1996, Maher joined the Middle East region as a Project Engineer and after filling the role for almost two years, he was promoted to Manager of Operations in 1998 and then to Senior Manager, Regional Customer Service and GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) GSP (Global Service Participant) operations in 1999.

In 2004, Maher moved to Paris, France to assume the position of Managing Director of the FedEx Charles De Gaulle Hub, the largest FedEx hub sort facility in the world outside of Memphis, Tennessee. In his capacity at the Hub, he was responsible for leading team members and connecting thousands of shipments per day. Maher was also involved in the planning of the CDG hub expansion.

In July 2007, he returned to the Middle East Region to fill the Managing Director GSP Operations position. In this position he was responsible for all operations in over 70 countries throughout the Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and Africa.

Maher graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. He is also a five time winner of the FedEx Five Star Award, one of the highest and most prestigious awards presented to FedEx team members for outstanding performance.
